Applying for: Cloud city
We are only a few hours into ARIoT 2019, and the cloud, or the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is already a crucial part of our product.
We have created an API to provide our SmartHjelm and the accompanying app with position and weather data. To look up where in the world the coordinates returned from the GPS is, we utilise the Google Maps Platform APIs.
We have also integrated Google Assistant into our SmartHjelm using the Google Cloud SDK. At the moment is enables wearers of SmartHjelm to issue voice commands such as “Tell me a joke!” and “What time is it?”, but we will shortly also integrate custom commands such as “Break!” to turn on the break lights. All using cloud services.
