We have a requirement imposed upon us by the judges, namely to use the excavator in our solution.
It is a really cool excavator, but it have it limitations. It can ie only drive backwards or forwards.
So we had to do something about that. We got a motor driver, two motors from an old lego mindstorm set, and the cables from said set.
The “had” to use the original cables since they have a special plug… we cut them up and soldered them to the motor driver along with a battery connector.
So now with som simple commands (that we have yet to program) we caqn now drive the excavator both forwards, backwards, turn left and right.
It might not be my best soldering work, but it is adequate…
