What would a baby monitoring solution be without a camera? The iCrib features not one but two cameras (For both daytime and nighttime) that stream video over wifi so that you can check in on your baby from any room of your house at any time.
In the mobile application, you can switch between the two cameras as you please. You’ll also see the most recent sensor values from the iCrib regarding your child’s temperature, the room temperature and more. A simple pull-to-refresh will update the values.
The mobile application is currently only available for iOS.
We’ve had some issues reading from the camera that is connected to the raspberry pi. Our solution has been to stream the camera to a website, which is then loaded into a browser window inside the mobile application. It may seem like a dirty hack, but we consider it to be an elegant solution.
The holders for the cameras has been printed by a 3D printer on site in a very fashionable color.
