When the dog detects an intruder it sends a trigger to the Pi that triggers the dog’s eyes to light up and take a picture with the camera. That image is then uploaded from the raspberry pi to the cloud.
The entire chain is done very close to instantly since it uses analog pins on the Arduino and GPIO pins on the Pi, with the first trigger being setting the analog pin to HIGH on the Arduino.
